We had a beautiful setting at Peyia for our wedding &#38; Vangelis had done some lovely shots of us &#38; our wedding party. </p> <p>Then once we got to Zaffrons, you had done us proud. It was far better than we could have hoped. You amazed us with the table setting you had for another bride on the Monday that we met, but for our day it was something else. </p> <p>The way you had laid out the tables &#38; decorated it with the balloons, chair sashes, flower petals, etc &#38; the favors we had taken along it was breathtaking. Words can't describe it.</p> <p>You have a lovely restaurant with the sea views opposite. A perfect location.</p> <p>Then to have your slideshow was something else. Even now I keep looking at the photos &#38; can't believe its me. Someone even commented I could have got away with being a model (modelling what I don't know??? Ha Ha).</p> <p>Then to finish it off Budge's cooking. What a delight that was. I'm just sorry I couldn't eat it all. My chicken was very tender &#38; the guests that had the steak said it melted in their mouths. Death by chocolate should be sold in the shops. So scrummie or what???</p> <p>You organised the Greek Dancers for us which was very entertaining. Still can't get over the fact that chap is only 41???</p> <p>Then to end our perfect day, our boat (sorry schooner)trip. That was very good. Never in our wildest dreams did we expect that, &#38; with that food on top, we couldn't move when we got off. I was a bit unsure as I didn’t know what I’d find. I am the kind of person who likes to do everything myself and thinks no on can do it better.......I was wrong.</p> <p>I spoke to one other company (I won’t mention names) but I felt like this woman was being slightly pushy for me to book with her. Then I spoke to Stella and we just clicked. I planned my wedding over two years. I did a lot of the organising from my end and sent Stella copious emails – she didn’t mind J I kept a wedding file and so did Stella. I have a lot of stress during the build up to my wedding – first of all my dad got sick in January and then in April the ask cloud. All the way through the planning I would email Stella and she would reassure me – she is a lovely lady. </p> <p>Here’s a breakdown on everything:</p> <p>Facilities</p> <p>Venue – I got married in St Paul’s Pillar. I would recommend St Paul’s Pillar – beautiful church. I suppose it’s personal preference at the end of day though J</p> <p>Flowers – I nearly opted for silk as I wanted to make sure that I could have the flowers I wanted. In Cyprus you can get any flower you want! Stella took me to see Anivia at the florists and I picked beautiful peonies, vintage roses and hydrangea. The cost is pretty much as what you would pay here.</p> <p>Cake – Maureen the cake lady is brilliant. You can send a picture in advance and she will copy it. My cake was beautiful – I paid for an additional tier with fresh vintage roses on each tier. In fact, the quality of the cake exceeded my expectations.</p> <p>Decorations for table – I travelled with my table plan, favour boxes all fine – plenty of bubble wrap to secure them.</p> <p>Photographer – what can I say about Jim, he was amazing. My photos are beautiful – I would recommend the sunset shots. You will never get pictures here like you get in Paphos. Jim has a lovely rapport with people so if you don’t like to get your photo taken he makes you feel at ease straight away. I ran his DVD slideshow at my evening reception back at home – I’ve never heard such amazing comments about a photographer. I love my album and when I played the DVD with music...I cried!!</p> <p>From start to finish the whole day ran smoothly and I will cherish every moment. The staff at Zaffron were amazing. I’ve never been to a restaurant and been so impressed with every member of staff – so attentive and friendly. I remember looking at everyone and thinking...Wow, I was just unbelievably happy.</p> <p>I can’t say any more positive things. She made us feel completely at ease and after being treat as 'just another number' by our tour operator, we felt like our wedding was as important to Stella as it was to us.</p> <p>The 'pre-wedding' service we recieved was amazing. Stella would e-mail us with ideas and suggestions and most importantly, she really understood how we wanted our wedding- not only the look, but the feel of it too.</p> <p>On the day of the wedding, the makeup artist was fabulous. I had always felt I wanted to do my own makeup for the day. I was so glad I didn't! Kelly was fantastic. Her and Stella were calming figures on the day, when I felt like a deer caught in headlights.</p> <p>Our ceremony was held at St George Chapel which was beautiful. Nothing like any other church we had ever seen before.</p> <p>The horse and carriage we had for transport was lovely and our guests still talk about how unusual the village bus was.</p> <p>We held our reception at Zaffrons and it was amazing. Photos really do no justice to this fantasic venue. It was decorated beautifully- far more than we could have imagined. As we were a small party, the front area was used as a restaurant. However, it never felt like we were sharing, the service was still brilliant, the other diners which we did meet were lovely and congratulated us.</p> <p>Our cake that Maureen designed and made was lovely- much more than I expected and it was really tasty.</p> <p>We had alot of fussy eaters in our party, but they were all wonderfully catered for and the food was absolutely delicious. Noone had a negative comment and many of our guests were even tasting each others food, it was so good. Not only is Budge a magnificent chef, he was warm and lovely to be around.</p> <p>Danny was our singer/DJ for the night and WOW! He was fantastic His rendition of Pavarotti was mind-blowing. Even our 6 year old flowergirl dropped her fork and stared! </p> <p>Danny also did our DVD and one of our favourite moments is watching our friends and family doing the conga around the pool.</p> <p>Jim did our photography and it was amazing. I have never particularly liked having my photo taken but Jim was such a lovely person to be around and never felt intrusive. The photos really are stunning and many have taken pride of place in our house.</p> <p>There was only one hitch throughout the entire day (which was caused by a family member of ours) and it was handled graciously and professionally by Stella and the staff at Zaffrons.</p> <p>We cannot praise Zaffrons any higher and it really did become the best day of our lives. Stella could not do enough for us during our stay in paphos, we really appreciate her hospitality she made us and my family so welcome.</p> <p>Our wedding was at the beautiful St Georges Church, We had more guests than anticipated to fit in the church but Stella got us in there without a hitch.</p> <p>We chose to have our reception at the amazing and beautiful restaurant Zaffrons. Budge was an excellent chef and made 46 very happy guests. everyone is still raving about the food now! The decor was just as i imagined very modern and tastefully decorated. </p> <p>We had Danny the Singer/DJ he was just brill very nice guy and very entertaining he kept us all going till the very end. greek dancers were amazing too!</p> <p>Not to mention we have the best photos infact AMAZING!! by the fantastic photographer Jim we are totally blown away by these, worth every penny. We went for the meze which was absolutely gorgeous and seemed to go on for ever. It meant that there was something for everyone - even the fussy eaters. It is more relaxed than a "sit down meal" by that I mean not so formal, so I suppose it depends what you want. We had a break after the starters and did the speeches, then had the main course then Budge laid out the gorgeous desserts for us to have a little later, once the evening entertainment got under way which worked really well as we could pick at something sweet all night - brilliant. For favours we took netting ready cut in circles and ribbons ready cut to size, bought sweeties when we got there and made the little lacy favours one evening. I think we sent the invites out about 3-4 months before although like you we had agood idea who was coming. We were not able to have our receiption in Zaffron's, but Stella was still our wedding co-ordinator. She was still able to organise another venue (Artio's an excellent second choice), took care of hair, flowers, make-up etc and was always on hand when ever I had a question (which was very often lol) and nothing was ever too much for her.</p> <p>On the wedding day itself, Stella &#38; her lovely daughter, Sherie, were on hand to make sure everything ran to clockwork. They really are such a lovely family who make you feel at ease &#38; very welcome.</p> <p>It really was the best day of my life and I only wish I could do it all over again. If you are thinking of having your wedding in Cyprus &#38; booking with Stella, DO NOT hesitate. Stella gets lots of more casual photos while the photographer does all his 'posed' ones and she often gets the same kind of photo but from a different angle. Vangelis then left after the cutting the cake at Zaffron and then we got loads of photos by Stella at Zaffron itself. The grounds are stunning, lots of trees/flowers etc and the 'step shots near the pool are fab. We have so many favourites of Stella's photos. Stella also then took some at sunset by the harbour (as well as Vangelis and again she is so good at it, you just get a real mix of photos and you want as many as you can really to 'remember' the wonderful day.</p> <p>The photos being shown on the several plasma screens truly is very unique and lovely and gives people something to do while feeling full of yummy Budge food while relaxing in between events.</p> <p>Can't recommend it highly enough if you can afford it - Excellent value for money </p>
