Weddings in Paphos

On this page we try to answer all common questions about weddings in Paphos. If you cannot find what you want, then feel free to Contact Us with any questions, comments or suggestions.

Q -When do we have to pay for our wedding?

A - Once I book your wedding ceremony you will need to pay my fees. Church ceremonies require a deposit to secure your date within a month of booking. Town Halls do not need deposits.

Q. Will we be the only wedding at Zaffron on our Wedding Day?

A. Yes, absolutely we only have one wedding a day.

Q. What happens if we have not got a big enough group to fill Zaffon?

A. We prefer to take groups of 24 adults and above, but if your group is smaller, we are happy to supply tables for smaller groups in the back dining area, with use of the back bar and lounge bar. There is a Venue hire charge with fewer than 24 adults.
We are happy supply tables for groups under 18 persons. – In these cases the venue will be open as a restaurant as well, but we have a private section by back bar area and you will have full use of the lounge throughout the day, although you may have to share this later in the evening with other diners. You would not have to pay a venue hire fee; unfortunately we can not provide any entertainment or loud music because of the other customers that may be eating in the front dining areas.

Q. What time do we have to leave?

A. We are licensed until 2 am; we try to wrap things up by around 1 am.

Q. How many guests will Zaffron accommodate?

A. We can seat 55 guests in the front dining area. We can however cater for more but in the case of larger groups we then have to use the front veranda or the back bar/dining area for diners as well. If you have a group of over 55, please let me know I we can discuss seating options to suit you.

Q. What is there for the children?

A. We have a play station, kiddies play table and can play movies on the back plasma screen away from the grown-ups. This is available on request absolutely free. We also offer a children’s menu.

Q. Is Zaffron closed to the public?

A.  We open on days that we do not have a wedding or other functions booked.

Q. So can we come in for diner pre-wedding?

A.  Of course just book a table and you are most welcome.

Q.  If we want something that is not on the a la carte wedding menu – will you be able to provide It.?

A.  We are happy to add dishes of your choice – just ask and we will do our best to accommodate you.

A. Yes, I can book your ceremony and whether it be Civil or religious, Church or Town Hall. If you prefer to get married in a Hotel – this can be arranged too.

Q. What do you charge for co-ordinating weddings in Paphos?

A. I have 2 charges.

My Basic Package - €350. I will be booking the ceremony and arranging the administration, I will also happily book extras for you but I won’t be with you throughout your whole wedding day – although I will be at Zaffron for the reception.
My Deluxe Package - €475. Arranging all the administration for the license to Marry. This includes me picking you up for appointments to get license and church meetings. Arranging all meetings for you. Booking everything you may need.  Being with you on your wedding day, helping organize hair-dresser, beautician and dressing on the wedding day. Co-ordinating guests and making sure they are all in the right place at the right time. I will personally be bringing you your flowers on the day of your wedding. I will take you to the florist on arrival to choose these. I will also take you to the cake-shop to choose your wedding cake. Basically it is having my services exclusively for your wedding day. Personal attention to detail. I am always happy to telephone you (you just have to text me on my mobile 003 579 946 0499) and I will call you back ASAP.

Q. Can you be my wedding co-ordinator for my wedding in Paphos even if I don’t choose to have a reception at Zaffron?

A. Of course; if for any reason you would prefer to have a reception somewhere else I am happy to book this for you. One of my assistants will assist you if I am not available on the actual day of your wedding. You will have no less of a service as each and every wedding is just as important to me. Many couples come over to Cyprus just to get married without the fuss of a reception, maybe just a diner for 2 in the evening to celebrate; I am happy to arrange a ceremony only.

A. As Weddings in Paphos are becoming increasingly popular for UK wedding couples, the earlier you book the better the chance of getting the time and date you would like. However you will be advised of the time and date and not just the period the wedding is booked in. (Unlike some of the major tour operators.

A. Yes of course. If you prefer to fine-tune your wedding arrangements in person – I am happy to meet with you to arrange and choose your flowers, cake and meet your photographer. We can arrange your menu and organise a seating plan too.
